Hidden Circle Clan History
The Clan born of a need to rid evil from the lands and restore order to brutal rule and megalomaniac oppression of the innocent souls by power hungry and obsessed leaders.
The Clan itself was created by lowly subjects in the land for the purpose of training its members for their ascension to positions of power. As people were carefully selected often without their knowledge, the clan grew in secrecy. Those who were chosen eventually became teachers for the next chosen few.
At the time of the clans creation, great evil had spread throughout the lands, they fought covertly to undo the foul and despot deeds that had been done, as evil rulers and gods spread throughtout the land, so the Hidden Circle covertly sought to remove each evil ruler, replacing them with one who had true insight into the ways of the land.
The subjects of Cosrin became aware that a new light was slowly breaking through the dark clouds of evil that had descended on the land. Some said it was fate, others said it was the work of the gods, with few knowing the truth of what actually had taken place. As each clan member gently but effectively removed the evil power from the guilds, others started to raise questions of where this new light had come from, only to be told by all asked of it, " There is no Hidden Circle clan, you must be imagining it".
Selection for the clan became more secretive as those in power became aware of the change in the land and remains so to this day. With each prospective member being vetted by those who have already attained Clan status as to their suitability to become probationers and to weed out any who would bring evil into the clan.
But all to no avail, each death only strengthened the resolve of the clan to rid the land of the evil.
A member of the clan, Antemor, was captured and tortured by some of the evil leaders, but held on and refused under great pain to divulge the secrets of the clan and never once relinquished his standing. As his torture continued other members of the clan mounted a rescue attempt. On that fateful day, Antemor gave body and soul during the rescue to aid his fellows in their escape from the vault, sadly despite the best efforts of Shaman and healer he died later that same day, surrounded by his friends in the clan, his last words "Let no man or woman live in fear of evil, all people deserve to be free of evil."
No other member of the clan died that day, Antemor himself embodying the spirit of the clan in aiding his rescuers to escape the vault, showing that none shall be above any other member of the clan and all will fight and work for the betterment of each other and all pledge their lives to the rescue of others.
