Heroes and Immortals of Legends Of Cosrin

Legends Of Cosrin provides you with a role-playing environment where you can interact with other players, non-player characters, Immortals and Heroes. The Immortals and Heroes are hard working volunteers who are in the game to add color, challenge and an extra dimension of entertainment to the game.

Immortals and Heroes are available to enforce Legends Of Cosrin game policies and rules and to help with any problems you may have with game commands or problems with the mechanics of your character. Assistance may be requested by using the WISH command followed by your question. Using the WISH command will give you a response letting you know if an immortal or hero is available and who your WISH has been assigned to. Our goal is to provide 24 hour coverage so there is always at least one Immortal/Hero available to assist you.

The Immortals and Heroes have two main purposes in Legends Of Cosrin. They are present to assist you with technical difficulties and answer general questions about game commands and mechanics. Immortals and Heroes are also there to add personality and challenge to the environment.

An Immortal or Hero can help with player problems, but cannot give quest answers or quest items. Immortals and Heroes do not give out loans of gold nor do they give resurrections on demand. Immortals and Heroes will not interfere with normal disputes or controversies between players that arise in the usual course of role-playing and adventuring. For instance, if someone slips in and kills a creature you are bashing, an Immortal or Hero will not intervene to punish the offender. You must take that up within the scope of the game itself through politics. However, if a player is abusing game commands or bugs in order to harass another player, an Immortal or Hero will step in. Punishment for infraction of game rules and policies can be as minor as a temporary removal of shout privileges or lead up to permanent expulsion from the game.

From time to time the Immortals and Heroes will set up special events such as invasions, and Temple or Guild Quests within the role-playing environment of Legends Of Cosrin. Such events give you the opportunity to earn experience in different ways and will greatly spice up the game. Sometimes, when an Immortal or Hero is in the game, he or she may see a good occasion for some impromptu role-playing enhancements such as unleashing a new type of creature, a few demons here or there or even hiding precious items or magical trinkets to be found. You never know what might happen when an Immortal or Hero is around so be prepared.

While Immortals and Heroes are visible in the game, they are involved in working hard to expand and enhance the world of Legends Of Cosrin as well as to help out with player difficulties. Aside from that, they should not be called upon to become directly involved in the affairs of adventurers in the "mortal" world. They should not be expected to give you unfair or extraordinary help. Should you learn the wrong spell or skill or join the wrong guild, there will not be any remedy of this. The actions and decisions you make about your character's life are permanent.

Immortals and Heroes provide entertainment and challenges in Legends Of Cosrin. The way they choose to role-play their own character also gives greater depth to the game. This means that when Immortals and Heroes do generate special or unusual events, the outcome for your character may be either good or bad, depending on how you fare. For instance, an Immortal or Hero may decide to let a few monsters loose in a place where they are not usually found. A horde of characters descends on the monsters, attacking until they are driven from the land Some will gain loads of experience from it, but some may die trying. Monsters are a part of ongoing events in Legends Of Cosrin. A death due to this is not unfair. There is no guarantee that monsters will occupy only certain rooms, or things will happen the same way every time. In fact it is guaranteed they will not! Resurrection is not a right. It is done solely at the discretion of those with the powers to resurrect. Death is a way of life in Legends Of Cosrin.

Immortals and Heroes have the prerogative to shift the course of events in the game as they deem fit. The element of the unexpected that the Immortals and Heroes offer is part of the unique role-play of Legends Of Cosrin. You will find it is important to learn how to interact with Immortals and Heroes. Your character has every right to be angered if something unfortunate occurs and he/she is not capable of overcoming it, but that is part of role-playing.

Immortals and Heroes are volunteers who increase the level of entertainment of Legends Of Cosrin more than software can ever do alone. Please try and keep in mind that they are people too. They will do everything possible to keep the game running smoothly, evolving as a constant source of entertainment for you, and interact to enliven the game while remaining fair. Often an Immortal or Hero will be trying to do several things at once or have a long list of WISHes to see to. Your patience and understanding of their position goes a long way in making their job easier and more productive. A smile, a hug or a kind word once in a while never hurts either.
