Summary: Representatives of the four guilds meet periodically and do a random roll for how long the guildluck duration (for all of the guilds) will be for the next rotation (or number of rotations, if they so choose). The durations they can roll for are 15 or 30 cosrin days (1 day, or 2 days outerworldly time) for an average of 1.5 days per guild over time. The treaty allows for future rolls to determine individual guildluck durations, cost of guildluck turn and order of luck, but these are not implemented. Cost is 100,000 for each 15 days, order is Rogues, Fighters, Mages, Monks.
Three (3) dice roll sets may be used to determine luck order, duration and price of guild luck for one rotation and must take place before the rotation starts. A representative of each of the official signatory guilds must be present. The guild representative must be a guild officer, or a publically announced representative designated by the respective Guild Master. A witness, agreed to by all guild representatives at the roll, must also be present. This witness may be a immortal or hero. If a roll does not take place before the rotation commences, a 'fallback rotation' shall be used until all representatives meet to institute a new rotation. The 'fallback rotation' is an order of Rogues, Fighters, Mages, Monks with a duration of 30 cosrin days each at a cost of 200,000 per duration period payable in 50,000 increments. A system of dice rolls shall be used that will reasonably protect against cheating (OOC cheating rolls by emote) and must be agreed to by all signatory guilds.
After rolls are complete, the results must be posted on the official public Cosrin bulletin boards by the witness. This shall be considered official and final for the posted rotations.
A) Sections in Articles I and II may be changed by full consensus of all guild masters or their appointed representatives. Changes to Article II may not affect sections in Article I.
B) Methods in the Appendix to the treaty are for instruction. Other systems may be considered, used and added to the Appendix if agreed to by all guild masters as stated in section 3.
As in all previous interguild treaties, this treaty is binding on all signatory guilds and their future guild masters. If new guilds are officially instituted in Cosrin, they shall be allowed to enter into the guild luck system if a new guild's Master signs the treaty as it stands at time of signing, in its entirety.
The loss of any luck time by a guild by any strange voids of the land of Cosrin (crashes, freezes or downtime) shall not reset the schedule arrived upon. Guild officers must buy luck at the specified time it is alloted to their guild. Buying guild luck by a guild officer after the appointed time shall not constitute loss of guildluck.
Punishment for buying guildluck out of turn or buying it down before time, regardless of the amount, shall be decided with full consensus of representatives of all signatory guilds. Failure to come to a consensus within a Cosrin year shall constitute the nullification of this treaty.
Below are the specifics of each roll. Each roll has a 'default'. The default can be set to bypass a roll and specify a certain order, duration or cost instead. Conversely, the default can be for a range (for example roll for duration can be a range of days, or roll for cost can be a possibility between 2 or more amounts).
A) The first roll shall determine the order by which the guilds are to obtain luck for one rotation.
Default: By default, this roll is bypassed. The default order of a single rotation is 1st Rogues, 2nd Fighters, 3rd Mages and 4th Monks.
B) The second set of rolls is to determine the duration of luck for a single rotation . One duration periods lasts for the earth equivilent of 15 cosrin days (OOC: 1 day) and begins at the start of the earth hour (OOC: Cosrin time 0:00).
Default: The default range that is rolled for shall be 1 to 2 duration periods or 15 to 30 Cosrin days in 15 day increments (OOC: 24 hours or 48 hours).
Default: By default all guilds involved receive the same duration of luck for each rotation.
C) The third set of rolls is to determine the cost of a duration period
for a single rotation.
Default: By default, this roll is bypassed. The cost of each duration
period a guild has is 100,000.
D) Representatives present at a roll may elect to roll at a single sitting for as many rotations as they deem desirable. Also, if decided before rolling occurs, a single roll outcome may be designated as good for 2 or more rotations.
E) How rolls are done is determined by cheat-resistant system used and is determined by representatives (see Appendix).
F) Defaults in paragraphs A, B and C may be changed for a single rotation if publically agreed on by all signatory guild masters beforehand. Such change need not be added to treaty. Changes to the defaults for these rolls must be agreed to in writing and recorded this section.
A: Cheat-resistant system to use
To avoid cheating (ooc: cheats by emoting rolls of dice) an immortal or hero has to be present as witness so cheating is easily detected without any modifications of how rolls are done. The rolls can commence as follows:
The first roll is for order
By default this roll is bypassed.
If the default is not used all guild representatives roll a 100-sided dice. High number receives luck first, next high is second and so on. Ties roll again to determine order between those in a tie.
The second roll is for length.
By default the guild representatives take turns to roll a 2-sided dice to determine the length of each duration. All guilds involved receive the same duration of luck for each rotation.
If the default is not used all guild representatives roll a 2 sided dice. Those that roll 1 receive one duration segment (2 cosrin weeks/1ooc day) of luck in the rotation, those with 2 receive two duration segments of luck for the rotation. (sides of dice increased if range increased)
Third roll is for cost
By default this roll is bypassed.
If the default is not used a 2-sided dice is rolled by the hero. 1 means a payment of 100,000 for each duration segment (2 cosrin weeks/1ooc day), 2 means a payment of 200,000 for each segment. (sides of dice increased if cost increased)
