Welcome to thee Labyrinth!! Congratulations on attaining thee status required to join a Sub-Guild and thank ye for choosing thee Labyrinth, for we know that the choice is nae easy. Thee Labyrinth is devoted to the pursuit of Knowledge as our way to Power. This can be a very frustrating road at times but, with hard work and study, it can also be very rewarding.
In thee Labyrinth, there is no such label as "Light" or "Dark", for our path is through the mysteries of Knowledge. A seeker of Knowledge can nae be called "Light" or "Dark" for they do nae make sense to us.
Because our path is to seek knowledge, as soon as ye enter thee Labyrinth, your task will begin.
Soon after you reach the level of Magus within thee guild, at guild portal 26, you will be free to choose your ultimate path within the guild. Choose carefully, for this decision made cae nae be undone. The Labyrinth is for those who seek Knowledge above all else.
The grounds of the Labyrinth consist of two major parts. First is thee Spire of Knowledge. How better to enter it than through the great Library? Ye will nae hae a problem with your first introduction to Knowledge here. Explore thee rooms, find the tutors, and increase your skills knowledge. But watch for hidden roomsÖnot all tutors desire to make ye life easy.
Thee second portion of thee Labyrinth, and many say thee most important, is thee Great Maze. Here ye will find our spell shops as well as our special article shops. But they are nae easy to find! This is an excellent time to start on thee path toward Knowledge. Explore thee Maze completely. Mapping thee Maze will prove especially helpful. Pay special attention to thee areas outside thee Maze and look for clues that will tell ye where our spell shops are hidden. By studying thee Maze and what is in it, ye will surely find ye way.
Thee entrance to our article shops is nae quite as easy. These are thee centre of our sub-guild and are hidden quite well to maintain their mystery. Remember thee great legend of Ariadne and Theseus. Your task is that of Theseus but what ye seek is nae death and destruction to free your Lands, but rather Knowledge.
A small note. Do nae forget your Mageís Guild Ring for without it ye could perish in loneliness.
Thee Labyrinth does not make use of Arcana to create armor or other articles. All armor can be purchased from our special sub-guild shops. Be warned, however, that these articles are nae cheap!
Besides thee skill shops in thee Spire of Knowledge, there are four spell shops that ye will find as ye explore the Maze. Once ye reach our sanctuary, ye will find our article shops, where numerous useful items may be purchased. These items may seem mundane in appearance but they hae been modified by magick to serve as armor as ye tread thee Lands.
Thee Star Dragon and thee Flying Carpet are our Sub-Guild mounts. They are magical and can only be obtained after studying hard and long. Ye will hae to reach Guild Portal 32 before either one will acknowledge your existence. These magical mounts are our symbols of where we are and what we hae attained. Mages hae found their mount in many different ways, for it is their personal mount and will come to them in a way befitting their life. All are encouraged to relate, on the Labrinth sub-guild boards, how they found or received their sub-guild mount.
The Charter of the Labyrinth Subguild has been written by Lightcaster and can be found here. Jorel has scribed the History of our Subguild here.
Welcome to the Labyrinth and may it help lead ye to your destiny.
