(Battlemages, Rangers, Monks, Fighters, Berserkers, Rogues)
Learn the following skills and spells in this order (always maxed at portals):
1. Physical Training (till Novice at Adventurersí Guild), then from mages or non-mages who will teach it.
2. Spiritual Karma
3. A weapon skill. (Missile Weapon, One-Handed Weapon etc.) from members of other guilds. (Note: Monks will NOT teach Martial Arts, so Monks have to learn One-handed weapon instead)
Riding (yes, even rangers need to charge for better damage)
4. Naturalism Spell Use
5. Heal spell
6. Ogre strength spell to novice
7. If they have it: Called Shot from members from other guilds
8. SSU
9. Ensnare spell
Do not scribe offense spells at all. Your damage will be extremely low, even if you gain in levels.
At guild rank 10: Light Shards spell to novice and Demon Shards spell
At GR 20: Giant Strength spell
At GR 20: Eagle Eye spell to novice, then Tiger Eye spell
Beyond that seek special advice.
Best weapons fer Rangers:
Heavy crossbow. The very best bow outside Fightersí Guild (unless ye somehow get a hold of the no-longer-made elven long bows).
Elven short bow. They are second-best and have a magic level. Only these can hit elementals without a bless.
Note: Where you need a bless anyway (graveyard) the heavy crossbow will deal better damage.
Ashwood bow. This is a very poor bow, but useful to distinguish bows for enchants. (So p right;;wield ashwood bow;;a will get the bow with the hold enchant, which obviously wonít work if you use two heavy crossbows instead.)
