Sensei
Revenant
Through the
History of the Monk's Guild, there will remain one name that will stand
for many as a symbol of Dedication to the Guild, Love of the Guild and
quiet strength: Revenant. Revenant stepped into the role of leadership
when the Guild needed it. His leadership saw the Guild through both
very troubled times and exciting growth - from the planting of our
beautiful Gardens to a strange amnesia that disheartened many who lost
much of their trained knowledge. Throughout it all, he guided with a
steady hand and mindfulness that was and is a model of Monkly
leadership. In honor of his efforts and dedication he was the first
Monk to be allowed to summon a Golden Mist. He was
also honoured as being the first to receive the title of Mukusoh
Jonin, a Title granted only after much deliberation and
thought to those past Guild Masters whose loyalty to the Guild and its
values are unquestionable.
This Title is
an honor granted to past Guildmasters whose leadership has earned the
respect of the leaders who have gone before them. To be acknowledged by
such an illustrious group is to be honoured indeed, as ours is a Guild
renowned for its skilled and dedicated leaders.
Sensei Galthus:
Galthus saw the Guild through a time of exciting growth, and is largely
responsible for much that we see in the Guild today. From structuring
the Dojangs and quietly planting the seeds for the Paths now available
to our members, to working to establish our beautiful Gardens in the
places they now hold. His quiet and steady leadership made the Guild a
place of rest, peace and dedicated spirituality for those who found
their way into our halls.
Little Sister
Bordelaise:
Bordelaise saw the Guild through a time of great difficulty, serving as
a light to many through it all. When a great plague decimated the
population of the realm, her unwavering spirit kept the Guild and its
morale uplifted. Hers was a reign that saw the Second Luck War and a
re-negotiation of the Luck Treaty. Her role in those negotiations was
noted by many, prompting acknowledgment of admiration of that role from
many. Because of all of this, Little Sister Bordelaise was granted the
title of Mukusoh Jonin by the Guildmasters who preceeded her.
Brother Herman:
The Guild had not yet recovered from the great plague that swept the
Lands during Bordelaise's term, and further turmoil threatened to split
the Guild when Herman became Guild Master. Throughout it all, Herman
served as a steady presence and a model for many of Monkliness,
patience and dedication. Some question whether the Guild would have
survived these trials intact if it were not for his tireless efforts.
In honor of his dedication and strength in keeping true to the values
of the Guild, Herman was granted the title Mukusoh Jonin not long after
his term as Guild Master ended.
