Stories And Tales

As Goldenaxe sits back on the beach, he starts remembering his family when he was a young boy. He starts remembering his older brother who he had such love fer and admiration fer that you would see him coping his brothers every move. Goldenaxe starts his tale like this....

"Wow, look how graceful he moves!" thinks I. My brother, Roland, would stand there with an ashwood bow, finest bow in the realm in those days, and would just stand there, loosely and calm. He would shoot with the bow with such flawless perfection that ye just drop ye jaw at the sight of how accurate he really is. I would stand behind him, coping every move Roland would do. I tried using a bow, but it was too light fer me and I just couldn't stand like Roland would, not in one spot. One day, I was talking to da, and told him of me problem. Da said that I am not a ranger, but a charger, a berserker, someone who always take things by force, by salvately beating the poopings of the monsters. Da also told me that I take after him while Roland takes after their ma. Da showed me his steel sword, which was shining with such glinze that I pratically drooled over it. Da laughed and told me that he would get me something easier to handle, fer I tried to lift it, couldn't hold its balance, even though it was perfectly made. Da went to the weaponsmith shop and told the weaponsmither about me. The weaponsmither made me a golden axe. Da gave it to me and I went out to show Roland, all happy but I saw that there was a banrog demon there, fighting with Roland, beating him up bad, I got mad. I charged towards the demon, waving the newly made axe over me head, yelling at the demon. I came down hard, hitting the demon squarely on the head. Normally, that kind of blow would kill a monster, but not the Demon, he looked at me, with the axe in the side of his face, grinning. The demon stopped beating me brother and went after me. I landed another blow, that time I hit fer damage, making him yelp. The demon looked at me with such fire, I am surprised I am not dead from it. The demon lunged after me, and with instant, I brought up the axe to protect myself. If I didn't do that, I would've been dead, lying on the ground with my heart in his hands. Instead, I had cut his fingers off. The demon ran off, which I thought fer good. I helped my brother up, and he looked at me axe. Roland said, "Well, looked like ye have saved me life! Cuthbert, if it wasn't fer that axe, we both would've been dead." With that, Roland looked at the axe, which has a golden tint to it. Roland kept that in mind as we both walked back home, telling da the story.

As night falls, I was getting sleepy, it was an adventuous day, getting a new axe, saving me brother from a demon. Just when I doozed off, I heard loud bang. I shot up in me bed, and listened. I then heard shouting in the other room. I was scared. Roland grabbed his ashwood bow and told me to say here. Scared as I was, I trusted him and stayed in the room. Roland ran out, just as he shut the door, I saw the same demon that almost kilt Roland and I. The demon had my father, the demon raised his hand, then shot down at my father, killing him in one blow, knocking his head off. I screamed. I saw me mother laying in front of the door, head bashed in. Roland shut the door behind him and I can hear him taking shots at the Demon, hearing grunts, and moaning. I grabbed the axe, shaking and crying, opened the door and saw the demon standing over me brother, who was bleeding, dying and his perfectly made ashwood bow broken in half, lying next to him. I screamed, charged after the demon swinging the axe over me head. I did it with such force that I had chopped off the demon's head. I was shocked and the axe broke in half in the process. I didn't care, all I wanted was my brother to be ok, because he is the only thing left. I went to him, slipping in the pool of blood that is mixing with the Demon and Roland. I touched the blood, and remembered how poisonous it is, thinking that my brother is lying with open wounds. I crawled to him, trying to help him move away from the blood, but it was too late and the blood has seeped in to Roland. I could see it on his face, he didn't have much time left. Roland motioned me closer, as I leaned over, I listened to what he had to say. He told me of this great town called Moorgate, where he was trained how to use a bow, how to survive. He said it was part of my challenge to find it and if I do, then I am destined to become what he tried to do, become the more powerful fighter. His last breath was, "Cuthbert, from this day on, ye will be known as Goldenaxe, fer what ye couragious heart did tonite, and I love ye." I managed to make out last syllable. I cried fer hours, sitting there with me brother's head in my hands, and looking at me parents, who gave me and Roland everything we ever wanted. Morning sun shined through the windows. I spat on the demon, buried my family, went back to the house. I grabbed the gold from the Demon and whatever my family had. I took the steel sword, bulky and heavy. I lit the house on fire, with the demon in it to show that I do not fear anything anymore. I carried the steel sword until I gotten stronger. I started little by little until I finally to control it. I then walked into the great city called Moorgate, remembering what my brother told me just before he died. I just turned 18 the exact day I joined the guild. It took me 3 yrs to work on my body to hold that massive sword. I now go around, proudly wielding the sword.

When the wave came on, it hits Goldenaxe on his feet, splashing him and waking him up from his daydream. Wiping a tear from his eye, he shot up, went back to a place where he calls home, Moorgate and takes his rightfully side in the Fighters guild. He will never ferget what his brother told him. Ye see him now fighting fer the good.
