As the
Mages' guild of Moorgate grew, the healers of the guild found that the
guild was becoming overcrowded. They all met and discussed options
about what to do about it. After most of the day they came to the
conclusion that they needed a place of their own. Where to find such a
place became their number one priority.
One day as the Hero Isabeau was walking
though Moorgate, she decided to stop at the center of town where most
healers gathered. As she was healing a fighter who had stopped there, a
shaman asked her "Isabeau why are always so peaceful and happy ever
time we see you?" Isabeau answered and said "A while back as I was
wandering the causeways I came acrossed a forest. As I decided to camp
there I began to meditate. As I was meditating I entered a state of
complete oneness with the land which I had never felt before. Since
then I have moved my home there and commune with nature in ways I never
had before." This caught the interest of all the shamans there and they
asked her if she would show it to them. Isabeau agreed to take them
there.
When they arrived they were in awe at the
beauty of the forest. They told Isabeau of the meeting they had held
and asked her if they could build a town and guild dedicated to healing
here. Isabeau agreed told them that it was a great idea.
As they were building their guild and
homes they were undecided as to what they should call their new town.
After much debating they decided to ask Isabeau what would be a good
name for it. As they entered Isabeau's home they seen that she was
meditating and were unsure if they should disturb her. Without even
opening her eyes Isabeau asked what they needed. One shaman stepped
forward and asked "Isabeau, we are unsure as to what to name this
place. Could you give us a good name for it?" Isabeau just opened her
eyes, smiled and said " Serenity."
Since then the town has always been
called Serenity. The healer's guild was called The Guild of Serenity.
